What’s your go-to food that you want to be delivered at your doorstep any day, any time? Most Americans prefer cauliflower pizza, Grubhub revealed.

As much as you can or cannot believe it, this vegetarian variant is the most ordered on the food delivery platform in 2019. The cauliflower pizza jumped to the top spot from 2018’s seventh place, followed by Spicy Brussels sprouts.

Trailing behind are Portobello mushroom empanadas and black bean and sweet potato tacos. Another entry is miso pork ramen.

There are different favorites in each state, for example, New Yorkers ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich the most last year, while for Florida residents, chicken mac and cheese.

The food report showed just how much a plant-based diet is gaining popularity. Scan your Instagram feed and you’ll see many food bowls heaping with fruits and vegetables; check your favorite fast-food chain menu and you’ll see a subsection specifically for those who don’t consume meat products; or visit your local grocery and see an aisle dedicated for this group.

Thanks to the number of exposes and films, like Okja, which tells the tale of a girl and her giant pig friend, many people are convinced to make the big switch.

Celebs Who Have Made the Change

There’s no use in denying, the number of people changing their diet to plant-based is skyrocketing. Even celebrities have turned vegans, including Beyonce and husband Jay-Z, who urged their followers to do the same last year.

Benedict Cumberbatch once revealed that he transitioned to become vegan, a diet which he credited for his shape in the Avengers movie. The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals hailed him as 2018’s Most Beautiful Vegan.

Portia de Rossi, meanwhile, felt that she had to become vegan after she and wife Ellen DeGeneres moved to a farm. The actress befriended the animals, which explained the switch but don’t worry, the change wasn’t really that hard for her.

Ariana Grande also has the same sentiment as Portia. The 26-year-old adores animals, so much so that she made a conscious effort to only eat plants – plus, she believes it can lengthen your lifespan.

Clueless star Alicia Silverstone has veganism to thank for the wonderful health benefits such as weight loss. In an interview, the actress shared that ever since she changed her eating habits, she didn’t need her asthma inhaler anymore.
