This Is What It Takes To Be Positively Health-Obsessed, According to a CEO Who’s Mastered It

Regular folks can learn a lot from people who’ve successfully made it. After all, getting to the top of a certain field usually involves a lot of hard work and lessons learned along the way.

Thus, individuals looking to follow through with their New Year’s resolutions to start a healthier lifestyle might find it beneficial to follow Hint Water CEO Kara Goldin’s daily rituals.

A Better Use for Morning Hours

The mother-of-four’s first advice is to not completely put off checking emails or notifications after waking up in the morning.

Instead, she suggests following her lead and allotting a few minutes of one’s first waking hours as phone time.

Doing so helps her limit the urge of constantly checking her phone throughout the day.

Prioritizing Tasks

And when it comes to conquering a seemingly impossible to-do list, the businesswoman recommends people to use the time management idea of ‘eating the frog’. This simply means tackling the hardest or most important tasks first.

Going about things this way allows an individual to go through the rest of their day with the worst already behind them.

Of course, no healthy routine is complete without eating. Goldin herself starts her days with a smoothie made with kale and sweet fruits. The drink, she says, gives her the necessary energy boost she needs to begin her days.

As for the rest of her daily diet, she shares that she’s now trying to avoid ‘fake healthy food’ like sugar-filled oatmeal.

Keeping Things Flexible

Goldin believes that it’s okay to ‘fail’ one’s daily routines. Remember that one always has tomorrow to start fresh again should they not accomplish what they need to do in a day.

She also recommends keeping a flexible schedule and allowing oneself to squeeze parts of their routine in different time slots within the day if needed.

Goldin reminds people to be more forgiving of themselves when unexpected things derail their plans.

Big-Picture Thinking

One last habit she shares is setting aside time for some ‘big-picture thinking’ during the latter part of the day.

Goldin personally does this sometime after dinner as it’s when her mind is at its most relaxed state. She uses this time pocket to explore and come up with new ideas.
