Weddings are, without a doubt, one of the most nerve-racking events to prepare for. That’s why a lot of people set everything months and even a year before the exact date of the ceremony – but what will you feel if the venue you’ve booked suddenly closed its doors without paying back your deposit?

Just imagine being duped while you’re stressed about every little thing for this special milestone in your life, it would surely make it appear as if the universe suddenly decided to bring hell to you.
This might be what the clients of Noah’s, a famous company for holding events that abruptly shut down operations without prior notice, must be feeling right now.
According to the management’s statement on its website, this was ordered by a court after the company filed for bankruptcy in May last year. About 3,000 couples wishing to tie the knot soon are left scrambling to find another venue at the last minute.
With all the soon-to-be husbands and wives left hanging, a total of $7 million deposits and wedding fees also remain up in the air.
After Noah’s announcement, many clients stormed to the nearest branch and were shocked to find that lights were off and doors were shut, and what’s more disturbing is that there was no sign posted whatsoever.

As per reports, Noah’s which boasts over 40 locations across the states, continued accepting bookings and payments a week before it closed. Employees also allegedly informed clients not to be worried about the bankruptcy issue.
One customer said that Noah’s told her that whatever happens, operations will still run. A week ago, the company also promoted its service on its LinkedIn page, saying they would love to hold your unforgettable events.
A judge has ordered the closure of Noah’s although the official said that during filing, the company couldn’t bill customers. The event venue’s social media accounts have all been deleted, which even made desperate clients mad.

While pairs who still have months before the big day can find another place to hold the special event, others whose wedding is in weeks are now clueless about what to do.
One unnamed woman shared that they couldn’t do anything because they already put their budget in Noah’s.
Another bride-to-be, Eva Hung, said that because a lot of money was already lost, they will be forced to cut other planned activities. She explained that she and the groom may probably not go on a honeymoon because of what happened.
