Given actor Brad Pitt’s very public dating history, comedian Tiffany Haddish may seem like an odd romantic choice for him. But the ‘Girls Trip’ actress says that the two of them has actually talked about dating.

Speaking in a new Harper’s Bazaar interview, Haddish shared an awkward encounter between her and the ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’ star. She observed how he looked scared of her and even had shifty eyes.

The 40-year-old comedian then said that she told him to relax and joked about how he has too many kids, referring to the six children he shares with his ex-wife Angelina Jolie.

Their recent interaction is reminiscent of a similar one that happened in 2018. Haddish has talked about this earlier encounter several times in various interviews before. She notably retold the story during an interview with Kelly Ripa during that year’s Oscars.

According to Haddish, he met the 56-year-old Pitt in an elevator. Their conversation steered towards the topic of dating with the actor reportedly saying that they could get together a year later if they were both still single.

She further details the encounter during an appearance on the ‘Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’.

Their meet cute apparently happened during an Oscars pre-party. At the time, she was busy speaking with actress Elizabeth Perkins and her husband Julio Macat.

Haddish told them about how she wanted to find a man that would look at her in a similar way that Perkin’s husband looked at her.

It just so happens that Pitt was also standing near them, who eventually chimed in their conversation and made his proposal to Haddish.

The comedian admittedly took the offer as a joke and even says she was shocked to learn that he already has several children after doing some research later on.

The ‘Night School’ actress also reiterated that the proposition was just a joke saying how she wants to be her significant other’s priority.

She further commented on how she might be just ‘number 8’ or ‘baby Mama 2’ in Pitt’s life given that he already has a family.

Haddish further joked about how she didn’t want to ‘chitchat’ with the actor’s ex-wife about those things. She’d talk with Jolie about making movies though, she added.
